This instrument was previously adopted for use by the Naval Service Training Command NSTC Citizen Development CD Curriculum Manager and the Curriculum Advisory Board to use per navigation lessons in the Naval Science courses. This instrument must be purchased for use in the NJROTC Navy National Defense Cadet Corps NNDCC classrooms. No other instrument can be substituted. It is the best value to the Navy to continue to use this instrument. There is only one responsible manufacturer and other instruments will not satisfy current agency requirements.
