Description

National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) / Armstrong Flight Research Center (AFRC) has a requirement for subject matter expertise and technical services for legacy aircraft engine support. NASA/AFRC intends to award a sole-source contract to Atec, Inc., as they possess unique knowledge, experience, and technical expertise with the legacy aircraft engines necessary to satisfy the Government’s requirements. Accordingly, the Government intends to award the contract under the authority of FAR 6.103-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy the agency’s requirements. The Government does not intend to acquire a commercial product or service using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort electronically via email to Jenni Schnarr at jennifer.schnarr@nasa.gov not later than 5:00 PM PDT (Pacific Daylight Time) on September 7, 2026. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct this acquisition on a competitive basis. A decision by the Government not to compete this acquisition on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
