Professional Engineering Design Services for Grit Removal System at ACUA Wastewater Treatment Plant

The Atlantic County Utilities Authority (ACUA) is requesting proposals from qualified engineering firms to provide complete design services for the installation of a grit removal system at the ACUA’s City Island Wastewater Treatment Plant located at 1801 Absecon Boulevard, Atlantic City, NJ 80401. Lack of grit removal efficiency has resulted in excessive grit carryover to the primary settling tanks. Grit in the primary sludge results in excessive equipment wear and consumes capacity in the solids handling system. This project shall include the design of a complete grit removal system and other modifications as may be necessary to integrate with the existing wastewater treatment plant system at the ACUA.
