Description
The STRIDES contract was awarded on September 25, 2024, with a period of performance from October I, 2024, through September 30, 2029. STRIDES supports U.S. Government global health security objectives, consistent with the America First Global Health Security Strategy, by strengthening infectious disease detection systems, including: (I) enhancing laboratory and diagnostic capacity at national and sub-national levels; (2) developing and sustaining event-based and indicator-based surveillance systems; (3) building host country capacity for data collection, analysis, and use in decision-making; and (4) providing targeted technical assistance during disease outbreaks. This contract action will increase the total estimated cost (TEC) ceiling of Contract No. 7200AA24C00092 for the Strengthening Infectious Disease Detection Systems (STRIDES) Activity from $244,967,896 to $444,967,896.
