Description

T he MSDH, Lifespan Center for Health and Wellness, Women's Health, seeks a qualified vendor to serve as the Program Evaluator (PE) for the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention ( CDC) MS-WISEWOMAN Program. The Evaluator will design and implement a pragmatic, equity‑informed evaluation aligned with CDC’s cooperative agreement requirements and Mississippi’s public health priorities, ensuring timely, accurate reporting, actionable insights, and program improvement. Assist with the development of a framework for the overall evaluation of program strategies and provide technical assistance. Assist with the design of the evaluation framework based on evidence-based public health resources, including the Community Guides and CDC Evaluation Framework. Work with the project staff and partnering health systems to develop and test methodologies for assessing the impact of programmatic efforts, community, and clinic-based activities to increase Cardiovascular Disease (CVD) screening and hypertension prevention and control initiatives. The Evaluator (s) will provide guidance for assisting MSDH in program monitoring using CDC-directed performance measures and program-specific internal process and performance measures. The Evaluator (s) will work collaboratively with the Project Director and other grant-supported staff members to ensure the use of evaluation findings for programmatic improvements. The CDC Grants Management Officer and Technical Public Health Advisor will have access to evaluation findings. The Evaluator will design and implement a pragmatic, equity‑informed evaluation aligned with CDC’s cooperative agreement requirements and Mississippi’s public health priorities, ensuring timely, accurate reporting, actionable insights, and program improvement.
