RFP for Asbestos Abatement The Muskegon Heights Board of Education is accepting bids for an asbestos abatement project at the Board of Education Building, 2603 Leahy Street, Muskegon, MI. The project to be bid will include: *Removal and disposal of asbestos pipe insulation in the boiler room *Removal and disposal of ACM floor tile *Removal and disposal of carpet and mastic *Removal and disposal of asbestos plaster ceiling throughout the building *Removal and disposal of ceramic tile flooring. The asbestos report on the building will be available from MS Robinson (antonetter@mhpstingers.org) upon request. All bids must be submitted to the Board of Education, attention Ms. Antonnette Robinson (antonetter@mhpstingers.org) by November 16, 2026. Bids will be opened at the Board Meeting to be held on November 17, 2026. All bids must be accompanied by a sworn and notarized statement disclosing any relationship that exists between the owner or any employee of the bidder and any member of the board, intermediate school board, or board of directors or the superintendent of the school district, intermediate superintendent of the intermediate school district, or chief executive officer of the public school academy. A security deposit in an amount not less than 1/20 of the amount of the bid must also be filed. NOTE: This job must be paid as prevailing wage.
