Whole Blood Program

Frederick County, Maryland is soliciting proposals from qualified contractors for the provision of Low Titer Group O Whole Blood for the Division of Fire & Rescue Services to administer in the field. The awarded contractor will be responsible for the collection, storage, and shipment of Whole Blood units. The County will maintain a predetermined inventory and the contractor must promptly restock any units used in the field to maintain the required inventory level. Whole Blood units within the County’s inventory must be replaced after two (2) weeks if not used at no cost, subject to verification of an intact temperature indicator.
