Description
Frederick County, Maryland (the “County”) is requesting information related to potential waste diversion and/or waste processing activities that could occur on an adjacent 138-acre property to the Reichs Ford Road facility. The purpose of this RFI is to gauge interest, gather information and develop project requirements for existing processes or technologies that can further the County’s goals of reducing waste and more economically processing the solid waste stream generated by Frederick residents and businesses. The Office of Procurement & Contracting (P&C) is issuing this Request for Information (RFI) in order to determine if there are firms interested in these services. The County is open to all solution ideas or information that could potentially reduce, better process or more efficiently transfer the county’s various waste streams including MSW (municipal solid waste), C&D (construction and demolition) debris, commingled recycling, organic waste and/or specific waste types (tires, mattresses, pallets, hazardous wastes, etc.). Respondents are encouraged to provide any information to assist the County better define the solicitation requirements. This RFI process will include a virtual presentation. Participation is voluntary and shall be at no expense to the County.
