GENERAL INFORMATION Title: Oxford Nanopore Sequencing Reagents Background Information: The NIH Intramural Sequencing Center (NISC) is a centralized research facility for performing high-throughput, large-scale DNA sequencing and sequence analysis. Nanopore-based sequencing is a new technology that is fast emerging for its unique ability to produce extremely long reads, exceeding 100 kb. This is very powerful for DNA sequence assembly in repeat regions and for determining haplotypes. NISC is working with investigators who are trying to complete unresolved regions of the human genome. For this work extremely long reads that only this technology can currently provide are required. NISC requires reagents to meet sequencing demands on this platform. NISC directly supports >50 laboratories across >10 ICs by processing thousands of samples annually for highly specialized sequencing analysis and purchase of these reagents will continue to support these ongoing studies. Failure to purchase these reagents will compromise the ability of NISC to support intramural research. These reagents are available on GSA Schedule GS-07F-5934R, Sin # 334516 through Government Scientific Source, Inc.. CLOSING STATEMENT This synopsis is not a request for competitive proposals. However, interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this notice. Responses to this notice shall contain sufficient information to establish the interested parties' bona-fide capabilities for fulfilling the requirement and include a technical proposal, a cost-price proposal, the period of performance, the Unique Entity ID (UEI), the Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN), and the certification of business size.
