Description
The Washington Suburban Sanitary Commission, MD (the "WSSC"), is soliciting sealed responses for Project Title . Responses are to be submitted via WSSC's eProcurement Portal via https://procurement.opengov.com/portal/wsscwater PRIOR TO Response Submission Time on Response Submission Date . Late responses will not be accepted. Project work invloves involves the replacement of existing 3-inch, 4-inch, 8-inch, 10-inch, and 12-inch Cast-Iron and Asphaltic Ductile Iron distribution water mains, constructed between 1962 and 1978, with new 4-inch, 8-inch, and 12-inch Ductile Iron water mains. The project is located in Prince George’s County, within the 290B pressure zone. It supplies water to Warburton Oaks, Franklin Square, Kimberley Woods, and Tantallon North subdivisions of Fort Washington, MD. Since 1993, these subdivisions have experienced approximately 51 water main breaks, shutdowns, and pipe repairs, underscoring the need for replacement to ensure reliable service, improve water quality, and reduce maintenance costs. This project is funded by the Maryland Department of the Environment State Revolving Fund and is subject to the requirements of the American Iron and Steel Act and the Build America, Buy America Act.
