Description
Notice of Intent to Sole Source Requirement This Notice of Intent to Sole Source is not a solicitation. This is not a request for quotes. The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with IRADIMED Corporation. Description: The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to negotiate a sole source contract with IRADIMED Corporation for an MRI-compatible physiological monitoring system and accessories for the VA Boston Healthcare System / Translational Research Center for TBI and Stress Disorders (TRACTS). The requirement includes an MRI Standard Monitor System with ecQ-TEK (ECG, SpO2, NIBP, and CO2), an MRI Monitor Remote System with tablet, base and recorder, an IRADIMED roll stand, a flexible mounting adapter, two-day training for TRACTS staff, and two one-year Premium Maintenance Agreements. The IRADIMED 3880 provides continuous monitoring of blood pressure, heart rate and rhythm (ECG), blood oxygenation (SpO2), respiration, and end-tidal CO2 during MRI procedures. These capabilities are critical for participant safety and physiological data collection during studies involving controlled respiratory gas challenges. Therefore, it is the Government's belief that IRADIMED Corporation is the only responsible source capable of meeting this requirement. Since the intent is to procure this requirement on a sole source basis, this notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. It is not a solicitation or request for offers and no solicitation will be posted to Contracting Opportunities on SAM.gov. The authority for this action is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The NAICS is 339112. The size standard is 1,000 employees. The PSC/FSC is AJ11. Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Responses must be received by the date and time specified in the SAM.gov notice. No telephonic inquiries will be accepted. All responses must be submitted to the Contracting Officer identified in the SAM.gov notice.
