Description of Work: NIH requires a qualified contractor to assess, recommend, furnish, install, and warranty replacement pour-in-place soft-surfacing on the playground areas at the Early Childhood Development Center, Northwest Child Care Center (Building 23), 9000 Rockville Pike, Bethesda, MD 20892. Contractor provides all labor, materials, supervision, project management, and construction services per applicable codes and safety standards — site evaluation, product recommendations, furnishing materials, delivery/site prep/demolition/installation, waste disposal coordination with NIH DEP (dumpsters via PO), daily cleanup and cleanup before turnover, and warranty. Installed surfacing meets ASTM F1292, F1951, F2479 and ADA/ABA play-surface accessibility. Specifications: Toddler Area: remove 367 SF existing PIP; furnish/install 367 SF new PIP at 2.25" depth; 5' critical fall height; 50% standard color / 50% black. Preschool Area: remove 3,811 SF existing PIP and turf; furnish/install 3,811 SF new PIP at 3.75" depth; 8' critical fall height; 50% standard color / 50% black.
