Description
Lincoln School Apartments, located at 86 Central Street in Hingham, Massachusetts, is a three-story building originally constructed as a public school in 1912 and later converted into sixty (60) senior affordable housing units in 1981. The property is owned by the Town of Hingham and operated by Lincoln School Apartments, LLC. The building is an early twentieth-century masonry structure located near Hingham Center. The Work shall be performed using preservation practices appropriate for historic masonry construction. Although the work is not visible from public streets, the building remains an important historic resource. Bids are subject to M.G.L. c. 149 §44A-J & to minimum wage rates as required by M.G.L. c. l49 §§26 to 27H inclusive. The Town Administrator and/or Select Board will act as the Awarding Authority for this IFB. The Town of Hingham reserves the right to reject any or all bids, waive minor informalities, and to award the contract in the best interest of the Town. Bidders shall be DCAMM Certified in Historical Masonry and/or Historical Building Restoration. Estimated Construction Cost, $310,000
