Description
This is a sources sought synopsis. The agency seeks information from interested, eligible, and qualified small businesses for preliminary planning purposes. Proposals are not being requested or accepted at this time. This is not a solicitation, and no contract will be awarded based on this synopsis. Respondents will not be notified of the results. THE PROJECT REQUIREMENTS: The contractor will provide all labor, equipment, materials, and supervision required to furnish and install cabling to reconnect the pedestrian blue call pole communication line between Buildings 3 and 6 to the VA system at 2121 Lake Avenue, Fort Wayne, IN 46805. I. SPECIFIC: To include: Remove the old cable that is being replaced. Install a new 25-pair CAT 3 cable from the OIT Telecommunication Room in the basement of Building 3 to the basement of Building 6, approximately 700 feet in length Terminate all pairs of the new cable at both ends, connecting to the existing 100-pair Building Entrance Protect in Building 3 and the 66-block in Building 6 The cable pathway between buildings will use the existing duct bank, which includes multiple permitted confined-space underground access vaults for cable installation Firestopping material in the OIT Telecommunication Room must be removed to install the cable and then properly restored The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this potential acquisition is 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Installation Contractors. The magnitude of this construction project will be below $25,000.00. Interested parties should submit as much of the following information as possible: Company name and address, point of contact with phone number, email address, UEI number and DUNS number; Provide proof of registration in SAM. If you are a small business, include your SBA record or indicate your intent to register before submitting bids for any future solicitation. Capability Statement and Certification (i.e., HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, etc.) If your firm has a history or is contemplating joining with a partner for this requirement, we ask that you detail that arrangement as well to allow the government to make the most well-informed decision possible. In this event, we advise that you thoroughly investigate whether or not a partnership would affect your business size standard. If your firm has partnered or is considering a partnership for this requirement, please provide details of the arrangement to assist the government in its evaluation. Review whether such a partnership would affect your business size standard. Responses to this sources sought notice are due by August 6, 2026, at 12:00 PM Eastern Time. Hard copy submissions will not be accepted. Offerors located within 200 miles of the facility will be given preference. The government will not reimburse any response costs.
