Description
The U. S. Department of Agricultural (USDA) Animal Plant Health Inspection Service (APHIS) Wildlife Services (WS) division requires a meat processing facility to process white-tailed deer carcasses in the State of Illinois. The contracted processing facility must be located within 70 road miles of the intersection of Interstate 55 and Interstate 80 in Northeast Illinois and have paved road access to the facility, to facilitate USDA delivery of deer carcasses 2 or more times a week. The processing facility or facilities shall be permitted and approved by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (Illinois DNR) to process wild white-tailed deer meat. In addition, the processing facility or facilities shall be licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture as a Type II or higher facility authorizing the processing of wild, white-tailed deer meat. Further details can be found in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). There is no solicitation at this time. This is a request for capability information for market research purposes only. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of the acquisition. Submission of any information in response to this notice is purely voluntary. The government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred. All interested parties are invited to submit capability statements for acquisition planning purposes. The following information should be provided: 1. Organization name, address, email address, website address, and size and type of ownership for the organization, and UEI 2. Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this requirement a. The ability to process anywhere from 500 to 1600 deer carcasses a year b. The facility must be located within 70 road miles of the intersection of Interstate 55 and Interstate 80 in Northeast Illinois and have paved road access to the facility c. The processing facility or facilities shall be permitted and approved and by the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (Illinois DNR) to process wild white-tailed deer meat. In addition, the processing facility or facilities shall be licensed by the Illinois Department of Agriculture as a Type II or higher facility authorizing the processing of wild, white-tailed deer meat. 3. Recent and relevant past performance information Based on the responses to this sources sought notice/market research, this requirement may be set aside for small business. Respondents should ensure the information provided is current accurate, and complete. The government will not provide feedback or evaluations to companies regarding their submissions in response to this notice.
