Description
The Department of Hawaiian Home Lands (DHHL) is seeking grant proposals statewide for Community Capacity Building on Hawaiian Home Lands and/or to benefit existing homestead communities. Grant proposals may cover a broad range of areas in community economic enterprises – including programmatic, start-up operations, dedicated staff, materials/supplies, equipment and construction. Proposed projects may include any project listed in any HHC-approved DHHL Regional Plan, including those listed as “Potential” and/or “Priority” Projects. Proposed projects must benefit DHHL homestead lessees, implement their homestead visions as articulated in DHHL Regional Plans, and be sustainable and lead to increased wellbeing and stability, and improved quality of life. Partnerships and teams consisting of DHHL beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries, including individuals and organizations, are encouraged to apply. Projects sought shall be beneficiary-driven and assistance provided benefits existing DHHL homestead lessees.
