Description
The City of Atlanta, on behalf of the Department of Transportation (DOT), will soon initiate a Multi-Step Sealed Bid process consisting of an initial prequalification phase followed by an Request for Proposal (RFP) to engage qualified contractors. The project scope includes expanding sidewalks along SR 154/Memorial Drive between Connally Street and Grant Street to reconnect missing, broken, or damaged sidewalk segments and upgrade facilities to ADA standards where required. Existing curbs will remain where feasible, and a planting strip will be installed between the new sidewalks and the existing curb at radius returns. This procurement aims to enhance pedestrian accessibility along a rapidly evolving corridor by improving sidewalk connectivity, upgrading ADA compliance, and reducing pedestrian crashes through the installation of planting strips. The City expects selected contractor(s) to deliver timely, coordinated, and high-quality services while minimizing disruption within the work area. Vendors with the capacity to provide dependable technical expertise, maintain adequate staffing, and support both planned and operationally sensitive work are encouraged to participate. A Pre Solicitation Conference will be announced and held to offer additional information about the upcoming solicitation, clarify the anticipated scope, and address vendor questions
