Description
The City of Atlanta on behalf of the Department of Public Works (DPW) will shortly undergo a multi-step competitive sealed bid to an IFB process compromised of a prequalification phase as the initial step, followed by an Invitation for Bid (IFB) towards the procurement of qualified vendor to collect, transport, characterize, and properly dispose/recycle used oil and hazardous wastes across six fleet maintenance shops with underground storage tanks, providing both scheduled and emergency pickups, and maintaining complete manifesting, chain¿of¿custody, and spill documentation. Interested firms will be evaluated during the prequalification phase to determine whether they meet the minimum requirements for firm experience, team and key personnel qualifications .The City¿s expectation is that the selected vendor will hold relevant EPA/DOT/OSHA certifications and licenses, demonstrate performance for large municipalities, and handle specialty streams such as PFAS¿containing AFFF (Chemguard), along with batteries, lamps, and other universal/hazardous wastes. A Pre-Solicitation Conference will be noticed and held to provide more details and address questions. Hope to see you there.
