The overall goal of the projects is to address the impacts of Hurricane Helene and promote resilience in wastewater facilities in Georgia, including decentralized wastewater facilities. The specific descriptions and goals for each project are as follows: A. Drinking Water Project No.37 ¿ New River Road Pump Station This project includes upgrades to a pump station in the City of Darien, GA, including increasing capacity and resiliency by replacing old, worn pumps, upgrading the control panel, adding a reliable generator, constructing a larger waterproof wet well, and increasing the forcemain size. B. Clean Water Project No.40 ¿ Public Works Pump Station This project includes upgrades to the Public Works pump station in the City of Darien, GA, including increasing resiliency by replacing old, worn pumps, upgrading the control panel, and adding a reliable generator for redundancy to decrease resources during outages. C. Clean Water Project No.41 ¿ Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade This project includes replacing aging and deteriorated equipment to increase resiliency of Darien¿s WWTP, add package a headworks system, and repair the existing headworks for pre-treatment redundancy, and electrical work improvements to improve resiliency and prevent outages.
