NOI to Sole Source for Visor Strap Assembly for T-6 Helmet

The integration of the dual-visor system in the T-6 aircraft will significantly enhance aircrew safety and operational efficiency by eliminating the hazardous requirement to physically swap visors during flight. By allowing pilots to seamlessly transition between clear and tinted visors, this upgrade mitigates the risk of introducing Foreign Object Debris (FOD) into the cockpit and drastically reduces "head-down" time and distraction during critical, high-workload phases of flight. Ultimately, this modernization ensures continuous eye protection against glare, bird strikes, or canopy fragmentation while maintaining optimal situational awareness, thereby directly lowering the mishap potential within the T-6 training environment.
