Villa Wall and Sign Painting Services

Villa wall projects generally consist of painting and refinishing various surface types, including, but not limited to, masonry block, stucco, Duratek (cast concrete), and decorative wrought iron, all with painted finishes. Sign wall projects consist of painting and refinishing multiple surface types, including, but not limited to, masonry block, wood, Hardie board, plastic/composite materials, decorative wrought iron, and sign lettering. Certain sign walls may include a combination of these materials and finishes. Where applicable, the Contractor shall remove existing PVC lattice or similar components prior to surface preparation and painting and shall reinstall such components upon completion of painting activities. Proper surface preparation is required prior to the application of any coatings. Preparation shall include, but is not limited to, removal of dirt, mildew, chalking, loose or peeling coatings, rust, and any other contaminants that may impair adhesion. Surface preparation activities shall also include sanding, rust treatment, caulking, sealing, and priming as necessary to ensure proper adhesion and longevity of the finished product. All painting and coating applications shall be performed in accordance with the Sherwin-Williams Repaint Product Submittal Specifications, applicable manufacturer’s specifications, and all requirements outlined in the bid documents. In the event of a conflict, the more stringent requirement shall apply.
