SANDLIN BAY #11 TIMBER SALE

This sale consists of two harvest types. Area 1 is an unmarked third-row logger select first thinning on 189 acres of planted slash pine. Area 2 is an unmarked select only thinning on 30 acres of previously third-row thinned planted slash pine. The purchaser will leave 50 square feet of basal area per acre of the largest, best formed trees in all residual stands. The logging slash will be scattered back through the stand. The DISTRICT PROJECT MANAGER will routinely make an assessment of the timber harvest to ensure the objectives are being met.
