Description

The work generally consists of the following: Preparation of the chemical containment areas for Hydrofluorosilicic Acid, Antiscalant, Sodium Bisulfite, and Caustic and coating with protective coatings. This work includes the installation of leak detection sensors in each of the listed chemical feed and storage areas with all required conduit, wiring and designated. Demolition of the existing Ammonium Hydroxide storage area, furnishing and installing temporary ammonia dosing facilities, preparation and coating of the containment area, installing a new level switch with accessories and grating in the sump area, furnishing and installing new storage tanks and day tank, chemical piping, tubing, valves, fittings, supports, accessories, new transfer pumps, and new dosing SCADA system. Demolition of the caustic dosing line and replacement with a new caustic dosing line with containment and insulation, injection quill, and injection quill housing in the RO process room. The Contractor shall provide copies of a current Contractor License/Registration with the state of Florida and Pinellas County (if applicable) in the bid response. The Contractor shall provide Fixed project signs as described in Section III, Section 23 of the Contract Documents. The final number of project signs will be determined at the beginning of the project based on additional cost to the city due to the Contractor's schedule of work.
