NOTE: THIS IS NOT A COMPETITIVE SOLICITATION OR REQUEST FOR BIDS. IT IS A "NOTICE OF AGENCY DECISION FOR THE INTENT TO AWARD A COMPETITIVELY SOLICITED CONTRACT" WHICH IS POSTED PURSUANT TO §120.57(3), F.S. AND CHAPTER 60A-1.021, F.A.C. BE SURE TO READ THE ENTIRE ADVERTISEMENT BEFORE CONTACTING THE AGENCY WITH BID RELATED QUESTIONS. Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind hereby announces its decision to award a contract for the products/services described in the specifications promulgated in the subject Competitive Solicitation to Lasa Construction, Inc.* which is ranked the highest and has therefore been selected for a contract award. The rankings were as follows: Lasa Construction, Inc. with a score of 87 Kept Companies, Inc. with a score of 70 DEK Rentals LLC with a score of 60 The Neighborhood Guy with a score of 45 Home Etc LLC with a score of 24 The following vendors submitted bids that were disqualified: GD Supplies LLC – Missing narrative (4.4.1.5), No evidence of MFMP registration (4.4.2.1), Missing location map (4.4.2.5), Missing current and past projects (4.4.4.1), Missing experience and ability (4.4.4.2), and Missing scheduling this project (4.4.5.1). * In accordance with Section 5.3.1 of the Solicitation Document, FSDB reserves the right to select one or more Vendors for the services encompassed by this solicitation, to divide the work among Vendors, request additional or revised detailed written proposals, request best and final offers, and award contracts for less than the entire service area or less than all services encompassed by this solicitation. Protests and Disputes: Questions submitted to FSDB shall not constitute formal protest. A notice of protest must be submitted to Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind in writing within 72 hours of the Notification of Intent to Award. A formal written protest must be submitted within ten (10) days after the date the notice of protest is filed. The formal written protest must fully identify facts resulting in the contested issues. The protest procedure shall be governed by Florida Statutes §120.57(3) and may require the payment of a Protest Bond IAW §28-110-005, F.S. Any person who is adversely affected by the Florida School for the Deaf and the Blind’s decision concerning a procurement solicitation or contract award and who wants to protest such decision shall file a protest in compliance with §120.57(3), FS. Failure to file a protest within the time prescribed in Section 120.57(3), F.S., or failure to post the bond or other security required by law within the time allowed for filing a bond shall constitute a waiver of proceedings under Chapter 120, F.S.
