LANDFILL CONSTRUCTION AND DEMOLITION (C&D) WASTE FOR DISPOSAL II

This solicitation is for contractor(s) to provide processed C&D wastes for disposal at the Manchester Sanitary Landfill. The Town of Manchester owns and operates a bulky waste sanitary landfill on Olcott Street in the southwest section of Town. This regional landfill accepts construction and demolition debris (C&D), bulky wastes as defined by the Connecticut Department of Energy & Environmental Protection (DEEP), oversized municipal solid waste (OMSW) items such as furniture and rugs which cannot be managed at resource recovery facilities, and approved special wastes for onsite disposal. The landfill may also accept “bulky waste fines”, or “C&D fines” from C&D volume reduction facilities.
