B027-10 Merimere Water Tank Rehabilitation

The City of Meriden is seeking bids for the rehabilitation of the The Merimere Water Storage Tank (MWST). The project includes removing existing coating systems, weld seal repairs, surface preparation, and applying new NSF- certified product(s) coating systems, as well as repairing the concrete foundation (chime), installing a new roof vent, modifying the exterior shell to roof ladder. The MWST measures 32-ft to overflow and is 55-ft diameter with a nominal capacity of 560,000 gallons. Merimere was built in 1964. Its address and location is 568 Reservoir Avenue, Meriden CT 06451 (south of the Merimere Reservoir). This contract will be funded by the Environmental Protection Agency, thus Federal Labor Standards Provisions, including the prevailing wage requirements of the Davis-Bacon and Related Acts will be enforced as applicable.
