ALLING GOLF COURSE City of New Haven, Connecticut Site Location: 35 Eastern St.. New Haven, CT 06513 Golf Course Drawings, Specifications, Bid Form & Details GOLF COURSE RENOVATION PROJECT Holes # 1, 8, 9, 10, 18 & Putting Green Prepared by Golf Design Unlimited, LLC Qualifications - for the project the Contractor must meet: The Contractor shall have golf course experience with a minimum of five years. The supervisor for this project must have the same experience. This project is a PREVAILING WAGE BID & involves the renovation of all sand bunkers on holes #1, 8, 9, 10 & 18 as well as the construction of a new putting green at the site of the existing/abandoned putting green. There will be a total of twelve (12) sand bunkers rebuilt. All the sand bunkers are being restored at/in their present locations. Additional drainage is indicated on certain holes (example #1). A new 4,000 s.f. putting green will be constructed (approx. 100’ x 52’). The new irrigation will tie into an existing line close by. It will not be a typical “USGA Specified Green” but a “California Green”. At each existing sand bunker minimal sod will be stripped then sand, bunker blankets (if found) and existing internal drainage will be removed. Sand bunkers will be rebuilt completely with new internal 4” perforated drainage being replaced and capillary concrete will be installed as the new base. The sand bunker designs are meant to work around all existing irrigation. All damage to irrigation equipment is the responsibility of the Contractor to fix. The average size sand bunker will be 1,150 s.f. with 100 l.f. of perforated pipe and two (2) catch basins included in the bunker price along with the capillary concrete and the cost & installation of the sand. The Contractor shall provide all material for the project including the drainage, sod, bunker sand, fill and additional topsoil. Payment shall be invoiced on an AIA Payment Certificate Form and based on the required project schedule of values. Specific milestones for completed work can be invoiced for review for processing for progress payments however each invoice shall apply a 5% retainage that will be released upon full completion of the project. All labor and materials will be at contractor’s expense – no upfront payments at start of job.
