The Kronos program is a United States Space Force (USSF) initiative to deliver a modern, integrated Family of Systems that enhances operational command and control, battle management, and intelligence-driven decision making for joint and coalition space operations. Kronos, under the Battle Management, Command, Control, Communications, and Space Intelligence Portfolio Acquisition Executive, and Space Systems Command’s System Delta 85, is designed to rapidly integrate innovative commercial technologies into a modular, interoperable architecture that supports planning, execution, assessment, and mission operations while modernizing legacy capabilities and enabling continuous software delivery. The Kronos Family of Systems is currently organized around four broad Areas of Interest (AOIs): AOI 1 – Operational Command and Control (C2): Seeks solutions that improve operational planning, command decision making, mission execution, assessment, and shared situational awareness across operational headquarters and mission partners. AOI 2 – Battle Management: Focuses on capabilities that enable or enhance effects-based planning, resource allocation, tactical coordination, dynamic mission execution, and visualization to improve operational decision speed and effectiveness. AOI 3 – Space Intelligence Integration: Seeks solutions that integrate intelligence, collection operations, battlespace characterization, and targeting to provide timely, actionable information supporting operational decision advantage. AOI 4 – Mission Support Services: Focuses on the engineering, cybersecurity, infrastructure, automation, DevSecOps, and mission support capabilities required to securely deploy, integrate, operate, monitor, and sustain the Kronos Family of Systems across distributed and multi-level security environments. The Kronos Mission Catalyst Day supports market research and industry engagement by providing additional insight into the Kronos operational mission, acquisition approach, and Areas of Interest. The event is intended to help industry better understand mission challenges, operational workflows, and future opportunities for collaboration, enabling companies to develop more informed and relevant prototype solutions in response to future Commercial Solutions Opening (CSO) 2.0 Calls.
