Description
Weed Army Community Hospital Sterile Processing Department (WACHSPD) currently utilizes CensiTrac to track medical instruments, while Shuttleworth Dental Clinic lacks an automated tracking system. The Dental Clinic will secure instrument accountability, streamline processing at WACH-SPD, and ensure that sterilization workflows are accurately monitored in accordance with Manufacturer Instructions for Use (IFU), Joint Commission standards, and Medical Treatment Facility standards. Continued technical and subscription support is required to maintain software security, configuration, and overall system functionality. Proper tracking of dental instruments is essential to ensure instruments used during procedures are appropriately processed and sterilized. Maintaining accurate records of instrument usage, repair, and sterilization provides a documented chain of accountability and reduces the risk of infection, retained instruments, and other adverse patient-safety events. CensiTrac is only provided by one manufacturer, Censis Technologies LLC, and the company does not authorize any other company to provide services, equipment, or support to its products. Use of any other tracking software will not be compatible with WACH's systems.
