Description

The County of Sacramento Department of Transportation (SACDOT) is responsible for the operation, maintenance, repair, and construction of the County's traffic signal and street lighting infrastructure. This includes traffic signal heads, pedestrian signal equipment, traffic signal standards, wiring, communication and detection systems, street lighting facilities, and related components necessary to support the safe and efficient operation of the County's transportation network. This Request for Bid (RFB) seeks competitive pricing from qualified suppliers to furnish and deliver traffic signal and street lighting materials on an as-needed basis. The solicitation includes a Bid Pricing Document containing commonly purchased materials for which bidders shall provide fixed unit pricing, as well as a miscellaneous materials discount to be applied to traffic signal and street lighting materials not specifically identified in the pricing document. The intent of this contract is to establish a reliable source of supply, obtain competitive pricing, improve procurement efficiency, and support SACDOT's ongoing maintenance, repair, and construction activities. The materials included in the Bid Pricing Document are representative of the County's anticipated purchasing needs; however, the County may also purchase other related traffic signal and street lighting materials within the scope of the contract. The County reserves the right to make a single award, multiple awards, or no award if determined to be in the best interest of the County. The anticipated contract term will begin January 1, 2027, and continue through December 31, 2027, with the option to renew annually for up to four additional one-year terms. Renewals shall be contingent upon satisfactory contractor performance, funding availability, and mutual agreement of the parties. Final contract execution shall be subject to all applicable County requirements, terms and conditions, and compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations. This RFB is part of a cooperative purchasing agreement through the Lead Participating Agency, County of Sacramento, for SCoPA (Sacramento County Procurement Alliance), a collaboration that allows the County and other Governmental, Educational, and Non-Profit entities to benefit from collective purchasing power and allow for efficient contractual processes for the supplier community. As a result, any selected bid may be utilized by additional participating entities, providing expanded visibility and potential for additional opportunities. Proposed miscellaneous materials discount pricing will be made available to potential SCoPA cooperative participants.
