PREA Auditor for San Mateo County Sheriff's Office

The County of San Mateo is seeking quotations for: an auditor of our Sheriff's Office's PREA (Prison Rape Elimination Act) records. The auditor is to conduct a California (CA) Department of Justice (DOJ) PREA audit of the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office (SMCSO) PREA records, specifically its Maple Street Correctional Facility (MCF) for the year 2026. The auditor will review our records to confirm the Sheriff's Office is compliant with all applicable laws governing a correctional facility's PREA investigations, including but not necessarily limited to the entirety of the procedures followed to investigate and document PREA offense allegations.
