Description
Purpose: The contracts awarded pursuant to this RFP are to support the advocacy, training and education, and outreach and engagement needs of immigrants and refugees to increase the number of available mental health programs, create awareness of and access to culturally appropriate services and supports, and provide opportunities to increase advocacy at the state and local level. The goal and objectives of the contracts are to bring awareness to local level leaders, service providers, and immigrant and refugee populations served of the challenges and issues facing the immigrant and refugee populations through advocacy, training and education, and outreach and engagement at the local levels, with the expectation that service providers are made aware of opportunities to increase services and improve access to the services. Eligible Applicants: 1. Have been in existence for at least two years in providing direct outreach and engagement to the identified population; 2. Have experience and capacity to engage the identified immigrant and refugee population; 3. Be a non-profit organization, registered to do business in California; 4. Have staff that have been employed by the organization for at least one year.
