Description
SOMARTS CULTURAL CENTER - ADA BARRIER REMOVAL Scope of Work: The SOMArts ADA Barrier Removal Project aims to improve public accessibility to the building’s first and second floors. The work includes installing a new hydraulic LULA (Limited Use Limited Access) lift with an associated machine room and stair, as well as providing accessible restroom upgrades and a new drinking fountain on the first floor. On the second floor, the project makes related modifications to accommodate the new lift and stair, including relocating the existing kiln. Along with these accessibility-focused improvements, the project includes limited aesthetic upgrades such as new restroom flooring, with an optional bid alternate to renew the main hall floor with a durable epoxy coating, all as shown on the drawings and as specified in these Specifications. The time allowed for completion is 150 consecutive calendar days. The estimated construction cost is approximately $1,500,000. An onsite pre-bid meeting and site walk will be hold on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 at 10:00AM at SOMArts Cultural Center located at 934 Brannan Street, San Francisco.
