Description

Purpose: The ESE TA PY 24-25 awardee will be responsible for providing meaningful technical assistance to ESE PY 24-25 program awardees as they plan and implement social enterprise projects that accelerate outcomes for underserved populations facing barriers to employment. The ESE TA grant intends to fund an organization with the expertise to support workforce development projects that drive success, innovation, and system change and foster learning. The ESE TA PY 24-25 grant aims to increase equity and employment outcomes for underserved populations by providing technical assistance necessary for ESE PY 24-25 progeam awardees to achieve successful project outcomes. The TA grant supports the assessment, analysis, and implementation of improvements to the current education, training, and employment service delivery approaches through a learning framework and a strong community of practice (CoP). Successful projects will assist program awardees with the continued development of implementation of social enterprise projects that accelerate outcomes for underserved populations facing significant barriers to employment. Proposals must be received by 3 p.m. on March 4, 2025 . An informational webinar will be held on February 10, 2025 at 10 a.m. PT. Pre-registration is required. The EDD encourages applicants to submit a notice of intent to apply by February 25, 2025, at noon to WSBSFP3@edd.ca.gov. Eligible Applicants: Proposals will be accepted from Public Workforce Development Agencies; Human Service or Social Service Agencies; Community-based organizations (CBOs); Business-related non-profits; labor organizations; Workforce Intermediaries. Non-profit or For-profit Social Benefit Corporations; organizations with operational components similar to those currently associated with the SE model. Applicants must reside in the U.S.. Eligible Geographies: Applicants to the ESE TA PY 24-25 must be organizations with the capacity, relationships, and expertise to deliver technical assistance to projects that serve disconnected young adults, justice-involved individuals, people with disabilities, and veterans in disadvantaged communities across the State of California.
