Description
Purpose: The goal of this initiative is to provide Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers (MSFW) and their families with relevant, timely information regarding the various programs and services offered through the Employment Development Department and its partners. The Employment Development Department (EDD) announces the availability of up to $100,000 of Wagner-Peyser 10 Percent Governor’s Discretionary funds through the Campesino de California Outreach Grant – Radio Media, Solicitation for Proposals (SFP). The goal of this initiative is to provide Migrant and Seasonal Farmworkers (MSFW) and their families with relevant, timely information regarding the various programs and services offered through the EDD and its partners. The grantee of the project must develop and deliver 24 bi-monthly, 30-minute hosted radio talk shows and record in video format for the MSFW population in Spanish during Program Year 2020-21. Additionally, the grantee must use complementing online and social media outlets to publicize the radio talk show and communicate additional information as necessary. Eligible Applicants: Eligible applicants include non-profit public or private organizations, community and faith based organizations, tribal government, and educational institutions. Individuals are not eligible to apply. Eligible Geographies: Target populations must include hard to reach and underrepresented high-density farmworker agricultural areas.
