Description
San Diego State University, Student Disability Services (SDS) is seeking the services from qualified Contractors to provide American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting Services to eligible Deaf and hard-of-hearing students as well as some University wide events. American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting services uses specialized skills to aid Deaf or hard-of-hearing students in academic classroom, laboratory, or other settings, facilitating effective communication and removing barriers to access service. American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting facilitates communication between Deaf or hard-of hearing students and the instructor as well as other students. This involves accurately interpreting spoken language into American Sign Language (ASL) Interpreting and vice versa, ensuring that all information, discussions, and instructions are accessible to the Deaf or hard-of-hearing student(s).
