Description
The Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking services for constructing a fire station, located in Monterey County. Prime Bidder shall be responsible for constructing a new four-bedroom, two bay fire station, storage building, pump building, and vehicle wash building, along with associated site improvements including a ground-mounted photovoltaic system, water storage tanks, and a fuel vault with dispensing system. The Prime Bidder must be a licensed contractor with the California Contractors State License Board (CSLB), with an active B General Building Contractor license. Proof of current licensing must be submitted with bid packages. If not licensed for all disciplines required to complete the service, the Prime Bidder must utilize applicable subcontracting and must confirm licensing is current and active throughout the duration of the service. Prime Bidder must self- perform a minimum of 30% of the work. Bidders are responsible for accessing the Invitation for Bid (IFB) document (and any other applicable bid documents) from the State of California¿s online marketplace portal, Cal eProcure, at https://caleprocure.ca.gov/pages/index.aspx); or, by contacting Dennis Schrader, Dennis.Schrader@fire.ca.gov. A mandatory site visit is currently scheduled for June 16, 2025, at 11:00 a.m.; please confirm attendance with Dennis Schrader at the email provided. Bid submission deadline is currently set for August 11, 2026* at 2:00 p.m.*. A virtual bid opening is currently scheduled for August 11, 2026* at 3:00 p.m.*.
