Description
Purpose: The California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) has established a competitive grant program, to support and advance the recovery and rehabilitation of injured, sick, or orphaned wildlife, and conservation education. Funds may be used to support facility and home-based operations, improvements and/or innovation in wildlife rehabilitation techniques (e.g., animal care, enclosure design, behavioral enrichment; post-release monitoring), and conservation education. Funds may not be used for incentives (e.g., raffles, donations), fundraising (e.g., financial campaigns, gift solicitation), or hospitality (e.g., accommodations, alcohol, entertainment). Eligible Applicants: Non-profit status, use of electronic medical database, and funds are allocated based on 2023 animal intake end of year report. 2023 Animal Intake Grant Fund 10-200 $2,500 201-500 $5,000 501-900 $7,500 901-1,300 $10,000 1,301-3,000 $15,000 3,001+ $20,000 Eligible Geographies: N/A
