SUBJECT: Notice of Intent to Award Sole Source Order for BARBEE RV RELIEF VALVE TESTER TRAINING 1. ANNOUNCEMENT The United States Coast Guard (USCG), Surface Forces Logistics Center (SFLC), announces its intent to award a sole-source purchase order to BARBEE VALVE & SUPPLY INC for the delivery of their proprietary training in the operation, safety and maintenance of the BARBEE TP-3000-RV Relief Valve Tester and Data Acquisition. This action is being conducted under Simplified Acquisition Procedures. 2. PURPOSE OF THIS NOTICE This notice serves to inform industry of the government's intent to award this requirement on a sole-source basis and to conduct market research to identify other sources that may be capable of satisfying this requirement. This is not a Request for Quotation (RFQ), and the government does not intend to issue a contract based on responses to this notice alone. 3. REQUIREMENT DETAILS & ATTACHMENTS The USCG requires the BARBEE VALVE & SUPPLY INC BARBEE TP-3000-RV Relief Valve Tester and Data Acquisition training as specified in the attached Statement of Work (SOW). Interested parties must demonstrate the ability to provide training that is fully equivalent in curriculum, learning objectives, and instructional delivery to the specified BARBEE VALVE & SUPPLY INC course. Please note the following documents are attached to this posting for review: Statement of Work (SOW): Details the technical requirements of BARBEE VALVE & SUPPLY INC course. Justification for Other Than Full and Open Competition: Details the government's rationale for pursuing a sole-source award. Sole source letter: Documentation from the course developer established their proprietary rights to this curriculum. 4. SUBMISSION OF CAPABILITY STATEMENT Companies that believe they can meet this requirement are invited to submit a written Capability Statement. Your response should provide clear and convincing evidence of your ability to provide an equivalent product.
