Public Comments during the process of developing the CSBG State Plan FY27

DCCED is required to solicit public comments during the process of developing the CSBG State Plan. Once DCCED has prepared a new draft of the CSBG State Plan, DCCED post it on the Division’s website and provides an electronic copy to each agency in the state that receives CSBG funds. DCCED holds a public hearing, with notice sent to the eligible entity and the public at least 30 days in advance. The state also holds legislative hearing every three years to gain public input and provide a review of CSBG programming and plans. At the time of the public and/or legislative hearings, interested parties are invited to give testimony. Comments from the public are received in the CSBG office up until and including the day of the hearing. Revisions to the CSBG State Plan may be made in response to written and verbal public comments.
