NOTICE TO THE PUBLIC AND REQUEST FOR INFORMATION LAS 36234 BOWHEAD TRANSPORT COMPANY LLC Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Southcentral Regional Land Office has received an application for the following: APPLICANT: BOWHEAD TRANSPORT COMPANY LLC PROJECT NAME: LAS 36234 ENCLOSED DOCUMENTS: GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Within the tributary known as Steamboat Slough directly east of Bethel, Alaska on the Kuskokwim River at coordinates 60.78583, -161.69971. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Approximately one acre within Section 14 of Township 008N, Range 071W, Seward Meridian REQUESTED ACTIVITY: The applicant requests seasonal winter storage of two (2) marine barges during the annual non-operational winter period before returning to service each spring. The vessels will not be used for cargo operations, fueling, maintenance activities or occupancy while in storage. PROPOSED DATES OF USE: Start: October 15, 2026 End: October 14, 2031 DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: October 2, 2026 The public is invited to comment on this activity. The purpose of this notice is to gather input before a decision is made on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at the Southcentral Regional Land Office, 550 W. 7th Ave., Suite 900C, Anchorage, AK 99501-3577 on or before 5:00 PM on the date noted above.
