LAS 36107 KWH Constructors, Inc. Land Use Permit Application for Staging Antler Creek Pit

Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following: APPLICANT: KWH Constructors, Inc. PROJECT NAME: LAS 36107 GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: Designated material site (ADL 419270/DOT MS 37-2-010-2), located at milepost 245 of the Parks Highway, also known as the Antler Creek Pit. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Designated material site (ADL 419270/DOT MS 37-2-010-2), located at milepost 245 of the Parks Highway, also known as the Antler Creek Pit. REQUESTED ACTIVITY: KWH Constructors, Inc. requests the use of approximately 13,000 square feet of the above mentioned material site as a construction support site for the Polychrome Pass Bridge project in Denali National Park. The site would be utilized as a staging and storage yard for approximately 600,000 pounds of structural steel. Initial mobilization would include delivery of the structural steel to the site via approximately 25 to 30 truckloads. Equipment utilized during this phase will be limited to standard transport and handling equipment, including semi-trucks and trailers, one to two forklifts, and potentially a small crane. No permanent or temporary structures, utilities, or improvements are proposed in association with this use. Temporary portable sanitation units may be present during active operations. General public access to the site would be restricted during project operations. Entry would be provided to authorized users.
