PUBLIC NOTICE LAS 33949 John Martinez Subject to AS 38.05.850, the Northern Regional Land Office has received an application for the following: APPLICANT: Rudy “John” Martinez doing business as (dba) Northern Sky Expeditions PROJECT NAME: LAS 33949 GEOGRAPHIC LOCATION: The proposed site will be located where Your Creek flows into Middle Fork Chandalar River approximately 24 miles northeast of Chandalar Lake. LEGAL DESCRIPTION: Township 34 North, Range 1 West, Section 15, Fairbanks Meridian REQUESTED ACTIVITY: John Martinez has requested an amendment to his Land Use Permit. Mr. Martinez has requested to construct a 12’ X 16’ cabin on skids, 8’ X 10’ tent platform on skids, and one pit privy. The site will be active between May to October. PROPOSED DATES OF USE: 5-year term: 2026-2031 DEADLINE FOR COMMENTS: July 23, 2026 The public is invited to comment on this activity. To ensure consideration, written comments must be received by the Division of Mining, Land and Water at 3700 Airport Way, Fairbanks, AK 99709 on or before 5:00 p.m. on the date noted above.
