Forestry issues DRAFT Fairbanks-Delta Area Five Year Schedule of Timber Sales (FYSTS) for public comment

The Division of Forestry & Fire Protection (DFFP) invites public comment on the proposed 2026 Five-Year Schedule of Timber Sales (FYSTS) for Fairbanks-Delta. The schedule includes proposed timber sales for fiscal years 2026 to 2030, per AS 38.05.113. The 2026 FYSTS is a scoping document that outlines proposed timber sale activity to be undertaken on Tanana Valley State Forest and other State land over the next five years; it is not a decision document. The draft of the Five-Year Schedule is available at: https://forestry.alaska.gov/timber/fiveyearschedules . Physical copies are available at any Area DFFP offices Overview maps are included for each of the five years. Individual sales may be viewed using the Alaska DNR Forestry Resources Viewer . Interested parties can always contact Division of Forestry for assistance with obtaining necessary information to understand, interpret, and/or provide comment on the proposed Five-Year Schedule. Comments may be made in writing (e.g., email, post), or verbally (e.g., phone, in-person to Forestry staff). For comments to be considered, they must be received no later than 4:30pm AKDT, Monday, July 13, 2026.
