This acquisition is for supplies for which the Government does not possess complete, unrestricted technical data; therefore, the Government intends to solicit and contract only for materiel from the approved source(s) under the authority of 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1). The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334220 with a business size of 1,250 employees. This sources-sought notice is for informational and planning purposes only and shall not be construed as a solicitation, obligation, or commitment by the Government. This notice is intended strictly for market research. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. No solicitation exists currently. The purpose of this notice is to obtain information regarding the availability and capability of qualified businesses that express interest in carrying out this potential contract. The Government is not obligated to, nor will it pay for, any information received from potential sources because of this notice. Your response to this information request will assist the Government in determining an appropriate acquisition method. ********** The AMC/AMSC for the NSN listed above is 1/C. AMC 1. Suitable for competitive acquisition for the second or subsequent time. AMSC C. This part requires engineering source approval by the design control activity in order to maintain the quality of the part. Existing unique design capability, engineering skills, and manufacturing knowledge by the qualified source(s) require acquisition of the part from the approved source(s). The approved source(s) retain data rights, manufacturing knowledge, or technical data that are not economically available to the Government, and the data or knowledge is essential to maintaining the quality of the part. An alternate source must qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, as approved by the cognizant Government engineering activity. The qualification procedures must be approved by the Government engineering activity having jurisdiction over the part in the intended application. If one source is approved, AMCs 3, 4, or 5 are valid. If at least two sources are approved or if data is adequate for an alternate source to qualify in accordance with the design control activity's procedures, AMCs 1 or 2 are valid. ********** Interested sources should complete the attached market survey and return the completed copy to Mandy Phipps-Kuhlman via e-mail at mandy.phipps-kuhlman@dla.mil by 4:00 p.m. EST on September 23, 2026. A SAR package contains all technical data needed to demonstrate that the prospective contractor can competently manufacture the product to the same level of quality or better than the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM).
