Description
New Contract Requirement: The purpose of this contract action is to award and fund the Transition In/Base Period of the HEAT contract. The main purposes/objectives of HEAT include: Designing, developing, enhancing, operating, and maintaining the HQR program. Background and Need: Hospital Quality Reporting (HQR) is a collection of federally mandated programs that govern the quality of healthcare provided in multiple settings by various healthcare provider types at over 10,000 facilities nationwide. Among these facilities are Ambulatory Surgical Centers (ASC), Inpatient Psychiatric Facilities (IPF), and hospitals. CMS requires contractor IT services to maintain operations and maintenance while providing new enhancements, additional functionality, integrations and improvements of all HQR systems known as the Hospital Quality Reporting (HQR) Enhancement & Advancement Technologies (HEAT) effort.
