Fairplay Landfill Cleanup

Removal of harmful chemicals, specifically 1,4 Dioxane and Manganese, from the Fairplay Landfill.  These chemicals have been detected in the drinking water wells of nearby homeowners due to contamination from the landfill.       In response, the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) who regulates solid waste in Colorado, has issued orders to Park County and the Bureau of Land Management to brin the landfill into compliance with federal and state regulations.  The design will be used to construct the cover and prevent further contamination.
