Description
The Attorney General is charged with representing the Commonwealth of Virginia, protecting the public interest, and enforcing state and federal law on behalf of the people of Virginia. In furtherance of those responsibilities, the OAG seeks to retain experienced outside counsel to advise and assist the Attorney General in identifying, investigating, and prosecuting civil and, where applicable, criminal enforcement actions across a broad range of subject matter areas of strategic public importance. The OAG's goal is to retain counsel with demonstrated expertise in complex, high-stakes litigation who can work collaboratively with OAG attorneys to advance the Commonwealth's legal interests, deter unlawful conduct, secure meaningful relief for Virginians, and vindicate the rule of law. Retained counsel shall act at all times under the direction and supervision of the Attorney General and shall not initiate litigation, enter into settlements, or take other significant legal action without prior written authorization from the Attorney General or the Attorney General's designee. YOU MUST RESPOND ON THE RFP RESPONDER WEBSITE. ANY PROPOSALS SENT IN EVA WILL BE IGNORED.
